ALZU TOUR DE FARM 2025 – DISCLAIMER / INDEMNITY

I, hereby acknowledge and agree to participate in the Alzu Tour de Farm Mountain Bike Race & Festival (“the Race”) organized by your esteemed organization, as well as attend the associated festival, to be held on 7 November 2026 at Alzu N4 Petroport. In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Race and attend the festival, I hereby agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this indemnity form.

Assumption of Risk: I understand that mountain biking is a potentially hazardous activity that involves certain risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, equipment failures, weather conditions, and interactions with other participants. I acknowledge that the Race and festival activities involve inherent risks, both known and unknown, which may result in injury, illness, or even death.

Personal Responsibility: I accept full responsibility for my own safety and well-being during the Race and festival. I will exercise caution and abide by all rules, instructions, and regulations provided by the event organizers, officials, and volunteers. I agree to use suitable protective equipment, such as a helmet, during the Race and any other recommended safety gear throughout the festival.

Release and Indemnity: To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the organizers, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, sponsors, land owners and agents (collectively referred to as “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, illness, or death that may be sustained by me or any of my family members, friends or acquaintances during the Race or festival activities, regardless of whether such loss is caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.

Medical Treatment Consent: In the event of any injury, illness, or medical emergency that may occur during the Race or festival, I hereby authorize the event organizers or their authorized representatives to secure necessary medical treatment on my behalf. I understand that I will be responsible for any medical expenses incurred as a result of such treatment.

Media Release: I grant the organizers of this event and its authorized representatives the right to capture photographs, videos, or any other media recordings of me during the Race or festival. I consent to the use of such media for promotional and marketing purposes without any further compensation or notification.

Governing Law and Severability: This indemnity form shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa. If any provision of this form is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Personal Information: By entering this event, I would like to receive marketing news.

Refund/Cancellation Policy: No refunds. If you are for whatever reason not be able to attend the event anymore, your entry fee / race ticket will be a donation to charity. In the situation of Event Cancellation due to Force Majeure, participants will be entitled to defer their entry to a new date. Should the event need to be cancelled due to COVID regulations all participants will be deferred to a new date. Substitutions can be made online at no additional cost.

I have read and fully understand this indemnity form. I acknowledge that by signing below, I voluntarily and knowingly assume all risks associated with the Race and festival attendance, and I release the Released Parties from any and all liabilities or claims that may arise.

For any person under 18, a parent or guardian signature is needed.
